Donald Trump delivered his first State of the Union Address Tuesday night. Tens of millions of Americans tuned in on TV and internet streams to witness the Donald make history.
Trump’s speech emphasized economic success – such as the record breaking stock market, exploding GDP growth, high jobs numbers, and low unemployment. The State of the Union Address painted a picture of a newly erected American dream. Overall, it was highly optimistic and well executed.
Of mention was also the administration’s focus on border security and national security. The threat of North Korea was laid out bare, and a course of action to annihilate that threat and any other was charted. America realized last night that the future is bright, and it is theirs to conquer.
The State Of Our Union Is Strong Because Our People Are Strong
All this good news for Americans is bad news for Democrats. It was their worst nightmare realized to have to sit in the House of Representatives and listen to the successes of the administration without being able to insert their favorite boogeyman, Darth Russia. Even worse, the address was delivered to the nation across all networks uninterrupted, letting Trump do what he does best – speak to the people. This realization brought many on the blue side of the aisle to the cusp of looking like they were about to throw a preschool temper tantrum.
Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), House Minority Leader, and many, many others, including socialist superstar sellout Bernie Sanders, looked like they were eating bitter dirt. They know that every word Trump said resonated with the American people, and that scares them. That scares the shit out of them. They’re not the smartest people – but they’re smart enough to know that Trump’s victory is their defeat. That’s why they oppose him at every opportunity. Their personal power is more important to them than the success of the nation; they’d rather see Trump fail than see America win under Trump.
One of the best moments of the State of the Union address came when Trump quipped, “Americans have dreams too.” Simple and right to the jugular. The people invading the US without following legal channels are illegal aliens, and they are not entitled to anything but a plane ticket home. Every country is obligated to take care of its citizens. That means giving them the first chance at opportunity and keeping violent criminals out. It also means being responsible with social services and tax dollars.
The Democrat “rebuttal” was an embarrassment. It did, however, create a new fantastic meme: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can drool for your country.” Who knows what the DNC was thinking when they chose a Kennedy as their next centerpiece? To somehow show Americans that they are the party for Joe Everyman, they wheeled out a privileged Congressional representative from an American political dynasty. That bumbling fool was anything but a John F. Kennedy. His great uncle would have slapped him upside the head and hung his own in shame.
The majority of Americans agree that the President delivered a fantastic, optimistic, and eloquent State of the Union Address. What’s more impressive than the words Trump spoke, however, is the actions he and his administration took in the last year: Americans have more money in their pockets; companies are moving to and investing in America; illegal border crossings are way down; savings accounts are getting fatter, ISIS is a speck of their former self, and much more. There is a feeling today that country is united as one under a great leader. The next seven years are going to be prosperous.
America is great again!
